Longer blocks of focused work, a regular weekday for appointments, fewer commutes.
What to check first
Ten-hour days are long. Some states count overtime by the day (California counts it after 8 hours) unless the employer has set up an alternative workweek: ask HR.
Core hours in this example
- Week 1 Fri: not working during core hours (5 h)
- Week 2 Fri: not working during core hours (5 h)
A request that misses core hours needs a coverage plan: who picks up what, and how you stay reachable.
